When Elinor Dashwood’s father passed away leaving her family’s finances in a crippled state, they are forced to move to a small cottage in Devonshire. Elinor’s younger sister, Marianne is torn between a handsome John Willoughby and another older gentleman Colonel Brandon. Meanwhile, Elinor’s romance is hindered due to Edward Ferrars being engaged to another woman. This is the story of the two Dashwood’s sisters, who respectively represent their “sense” and “sensibility” of the title, striving for love while the circumstances of their lives constantly change.
