In a world where superhuman beings called Rune Masquerades exist in each country and guide the people, the protagonist, a young boy named Real, witnesses firsthand the conspiracies between nations and the very foundations of the world. The design work, a culmination of the mecha designer Yutaka Izubuchi's career, shows meticulous attention to detail in architecture, clothing, and even props, establishing a unique worldview. This is the only serialized comic by Izubuchi, who also directs anime, showcasing his multifaceted talents. The comic, originally published by Fujimi Shobo, had been out of print for a long time, but has finally been reissued by Ryu Comics! Yutaka Izubuchi's grand fantasy, "Rune Masquer," has been fully colored in its entirety by illustrator Kaito Ohmoto, who has also worked on product packaging illustrations for Gundam and Macross. The B5 format enhances its collectibility.
