Hinomaru helps his uncle, a veterinarian, in the vast plains of Texas. One day, while visiting the Miller family's ranch, he accidentally learns about air racing. He is excited by the fierce battles between pilots soaring through the skies, but when a friend loses his life during a race, he becomes embroiled in that world...! Hinomaru is invited to take part in the newly established "V1 Class" race for daredevils, and his talent for flying is awakened! He unconsciously pulls off the legendary flying technique "Leaf Drop," so successfully that even Sho, a former fighter pilot, is astonished, demonstrating his natural talent!
