In a world where nature has been devastated and average life expectancy has fallen, humans and robots only survive in a giant city called the Megapolis. In the middle of this, Misha stays away from the crowds because of a strong empathic ability she can't control. But one day, while wandering near a junkyard, she finds a Morphing robot, a machine that can take the appearance of anything. She calls it Reborn and asks it to take the appearance of Mickael, her best friend who disappeared ten years ago. But this encounter soon leads her to be involved in conflicts with Ersatz, humans who were turned into monsters by a mysterious evil, and the Militia, the military force that hunts them down.
