줄거리

In postwar Japan, a time when many people, hungry for printed words, formed long lines at bookstores, Tsubame Takanashi, a rookie editor at the small literary publishing house Nekorobido, is tasked with collecting the manuscript from the notoriously eccentric novelist, Nero Uguisudani. Tsubame eagerly visits Uguisudani's home, only to find that he refuses to hand over the manuscript unless he immediately buys him his favorite sweets. Thinking his skills as an editor are being put to the test, Tsubame eagerly heads to Ginza. However, this is merely Uguisudani's flimsy excuse to extend the deadline... (Source: Natalie, translated)
