あらすじ

Short story collection including: 1. Iguana no Musume: A girl develops a complex about herself after her mother thinks of her as a hideous iguana. Iguana Girl reflects Hagio's own relationship with her mother, and it took her "years to write this story". 2. Catharsis When Yuji, a student retaking his entrance exams, suddenly runs away from home, his worried parents begin searching for him. They discover he’s staying at the home of the owner of the part-time job where he works. Despite their concerns, Yuji insists he won’t return. What is Yuji truly seeking? Why does he keep running away? 3. Afternoon Sunshine: While watching a TV show with her husband, Shouko's world was turning upside down because of her husband's words, "After all, married couples are just strangers." 4. The Pills That Help You Go To School: On the first day of the second semester of his first year in high school, Katsumi saw his father becoming a word processor and his mother an electric rice cooker. 5. My Friend K: K transferred to the narrator's school in the summer of his second year of junior high school. A 8-page oneshot showcases the tangle between envy and admiration.
