Synopsis

All actors in Tsubaki Theatre are male, regardless of whether they play male or female roles on stage, but don't let that fool you—the enchanting beauty of their performances has earned Tsubaki renown as one of Japan's foremost theatre companies. Young actors gather at Tsubaki University Senior High School to train in the hopes of one day entering the company, and it is here where Hachinoda Yōichi, a once-aspiring screenwriter who gave up on his dreams, meets Hayashi Shingo, a Tsubaki trainee with looks so stunning he could pass for a girl. Shingo's performances in female roles draw praise from his teachers and peers, but something weighs heavily on his mind...
