Synopsis

Harriet is married to Irving, who is shunned as a "cursed marquis." Even though it is not the marriage she wanted, she wants to love her partner because they will be husband and wife, but on their wedding night, she is told, "This is a marriage only for form's sake. Therefore, I will never embrace you." They are even told that in three years they will be divorced, which puts her in turmoil!
