Synopsis

Deep in the forest, James, a knight of Snowdun, meets a young girl named Ellen who lives on a small island in a lake. She is the daughter of Earl Douglas, who was exiled by the king for a crime he did not commit, and James is the young Scottish king who exiled Earl Douglas. The father and daughter are hidden by Roderick, the leader of the highlands known as the Black Demon. This is a touching story of love between Ellen and the people around her! Also included is Tsunayoshi Takeuchi's magazine debut work, "Burnstable Paper."
