Synopsis

The time is the early Meiji period. Atori, has lived on her own since she was a child after her parents died. She has worked at various jobs and now works as a maid at a ryokan (Japanese inn), but her employers have collapsed one after another, and she has been cursed as a "plague god. One day, Atori is at an arranged marriage between two noblemen, and Ryunosuke Ozaki, the son of one of the noblemen, suddenly asks her to marry him! What will happen to Atori, who is forced into a one-sided marriage proposal right in front of her arranged marriage partner?!
