Synopsis

The house with the red kawara roof is a dream of father and son. He is mischievous at school, but in front of Mr. and Mrs. Kobayashi, he is reserved, and is unable to say that he wants to fulfill his late father's dream of building a house with a "red kawara" roof. One day, however, he meets a master carpenter at a construction site on his way to school, and his desire to become a carpenter grows stronger...
