Synopsis

The true purpose of Matsudaira Sadanobu, the senior roju, going to Kyoto is to investigate the suspicious activities of the Owari family, one of the three ruling families. The Owari family sensed this and ordered the Modoji Tennin to aim for Sadanobu's life. Shintaro Akikusa, a secret swordsman on a mission to safely transport Sadanobu to Kyoto, is attacked by the secret techniques of Genkuro, the head of the Modoji Tennin.
