Synopsis

A memorable first serialized gag manga for Fujio Akatsuka. Nama-chan, who is good at baseball, loves watermelon and ice cream, and believes in being lazy, doesn't like to fight, but wins when it comes to fighting! An energetic character who has both a competitive spirit and a strategist side! This is a monumental work that is the root of Akatsuka's gags, depicting in a funny way the daily life of a unique friend and a mother who is usually kind but once angry, becomes scary. His best friend, Shotaro Ishinomori, came up with the title, "I'm Namaiki, so let's call it Nama-chan." In addition to all 17 stories, it also includes "Nama-chan's New Year's Day," which was hurriedly published in a magazine as a fill-in manuscript at the beginning of the book and became the impetus for serialization!
