Synopsis

Monsters—grotesque creatures once known as youkai. Mikurube Meguri, who works for the Monster Countermeasures Bureau, encounters Oikiri Kanoka, a young man from a family of traditional hunters. These modern-day hunters, serving as the “ayakashi-hunters” of the Monster Countermeasures Bureau, wield their blades against supernatural disasters on a national scale in contemporary Japan.
