Synopsis

Four years after the end of the Pacific War, the remains of her husband, Takeo, who went missing in the south, are delivered to Saki Tanaka. Unable to accept her husband's death, Saki desperately protects the ship Takeo left behind, the Asuka Maru, and the fishing grounds, along with her son Hiroumi, until Takeo returns.
