Synopsis

Aozora Elementary School's baseball club is a weak team with 36 losses and 1 draw, and the violent captain Ganta has turned it into a one-man baseball club that leaves members who don't like it as substitutes. A transfer student with a red bat, Tadashi Ichinoji, joins such a team. Tadashi, who returns the ball from the outfield to the catcher without bounds, is admired by the surrounding club members, but Ganta does not acknowledge it.
