Synopsis

Eight years after the end of World War II, Haruko, an actress active in popular theater, is suddenly confronted by a group of strange men. They urge her, claiming that she holds a clue to what they're searching for, but Haruko has no recollection of the matter. Furthermore, the men begin to tell her a story far beyond her imagination: her father, a soldier, was not killed in action, but was tortured to death in a conflict over hidden gold bars belonging to the Imperial Japanese Army. Haruko is shaken by this shocking story, but it marks the beginning of her battle against those operating behind the scenes in postwar Japan, lusting after the gold bars...! Will she survive the attack of the men who have set their sights on her? And is the Imperial Japanese Army's hidden gold really there?
