Synopsis

Tanisaku throws Edo sumo komusubi Godzillagawa in a grass sumo match, but is ambushed by Godzillagawa and his men and severely injured. His son Tanigoro, seeking revenge for his father's death, becomes a disciple of ozeki Kinryu in Edo and endures rigorous training. His skills are eventually recognized, and he makes his debut in the juryo division. Tanigoro, who was supposed to make a dashing entrance under the name Onimenzan Tanigoro, is once again caught in a trap set by Godzillagawa and his men...
